We provide the following landscaping and irrigation services to our residential clients throughout the Richmond, Virginia area.
- Grounds Maintenance: Our Residential grounds maintenance programs include the following services and services can be tailored to meet individual property needs. Programs are available in contracts to spread out your cost over the year.
- Lawn Mowing: Commercial grade equipment is used to ensure the turf is cut at the proper height for the time of year. In addition, equipment is regularly maintained to ensure blades are sharp. Ensuring the blades are sharp ensures turf is actually cut and not torn which could result in damage to the turf. Frequent mowing is also important to help prevent disease, weeds and insects. Not mowing often enough can result in thinning grass and excessive thatch.
- Trimming & Edging: Line Trimmers will be used to ensure the hard to reach areas are cut back at the same height as the turf cut by the mowers. In addition, all curbs, side walks and mulch beds will be trimmed to provide a crisp look between the turf and concrete, asphalt, or mulch.
- Leaf Removal: When fall comes we will ensure leaves are disposed of in a timely fashion to ensure the turf is not damaged. In addition to removing leafs from the turf we will remove them from the entire property including beds.
- Shrub Pruning & General Healthcare: Pruning and feeding shrubbery is necessary for the appearance of your landscape but also for the health of the plants. Some bushes and perennials may appear to need trimming but the time of year may not be right to ensure the plant continues to thrive. We will ensure the plants are pruned in a timely fashion. In addition, we will ensure each plant receives the type of fertilizer necessary to continue its growth. Not all plants like the same food or the same soil/ light conditions. We will ensure that anything the plant needs it will receive to ensure your landscape continues to look beautiful.
- Aeration & Seeding: Planting and replanting the right type of turf at the right time of year is extremely important to ensure healthy turf through out the year. Tall fescue is the seed most commonly used in our area. Fall is the most popular time of year to get this seed in the ground. Aerating the property first is extremely important to ensure the seed has the proper conditions to start growing. By aerating the soil you allow air in and break the barrier of the compacted soil. This also allows the seed to get into the ground and then once water is applied the excess soil washes over the seed and provides protection from birds and other animals as it begins to grow.
- Lawn Renovation: If corrective measures are not an option to help you save your turf we can start over. Killing off the remainder of weeds and turf, turning over the soil and possibly adding new soil with the right seed can get you back on track to having a beautiful lawn. We can also help you determine what cause the turf to fail the first time and implement a program to prevent this from happening in the future.
- Fertilizing, Weed & Pest Management: Turf and ornamental shrubs needs to be feed throughout the year to ensure they continue to thrive. In addition, turf and shrubs can be affected by both fungus, pests, and weeds which can damage and even kill the plant. We can design a program that is right for your turf and your shrubs to ensure they look good year round.
- Mulching: Plants need to be kept warm and moist. Mulch not only provides curb appeal but also meets needs for shrubs, annuals, and perennials. We can have your mulch blown in with a blower truck upon request.
- Irrigation: Specializing in Toro, Rainbird, Hunter, K Rain, & many other brands. Repairing and servicing your current system. Design and installation of new systems. Adding on to existing systems. Contracts are available. This would include winterizing, starting up system, monthly walk through to ensure proper operation, and to ensure the beds and turf are getting the right precipitation amounts given the time of year. We will adjust your system according to the time of year. This will ensure the turf and shrubs thrive and you keep more money in your pocket by not wasting water.
- Landscape Lighting: Installation, maintenance, and service for you lighting is available.
- Drainage Systems: Installing underground drainage systems such as French drains can often turn your unusable area back into to a plush area of grass or even into a landscaping dream come true.
